If you are shipping only one Hilux but want the protection of a container, it can travel in a shared container to Alger, where the container space is shared with other shippers.

Algeria’s rules for private imports of used vehicles are strict, so check these points before purchasing a Hilux in Dubai:

• Fuel type: diesel vehicles are excluded from private used-vehicle imports. Many Hilux models in the UAE are diesel, so confirm you are buying a petrol version if you are importing as a private individual.
• Age: used vehicles imported privately must generally be under three years old at the time of customs clearance in Algeria.
• Payment: the purchase must be paid from the buyer’s foreign currency account in Algeria.
• Frequency: a resident may import one vehicle under this scheme every three years.
